In some cases, it might be necessary to take a small file and file out a shallow groove in the battery compartment cover to give the FFC cable more room to run around the side of the cover. The thin flat flexible cable (FFC cable) coming out of the C Active Dummy Cell Battery can easily be run around the side of most battery compartment covers, so the original battery compartment cover can still be used. It doesn't matter which space they go into as long as you observe the correct polarities just as you would when inserting real batteries. The C Active and Dummy Cell Batteries included in this kit are the same size as regular C batteries, so they easily fit into the electronic device's battery compartment spaces.
